We’re sharing a peek into our new dining room and some thoughts from the process. Redecorating a room can feel a bit overwhelming - but remember you don’t have to do it all at once! For us, our home is more like an ongoing process, which will probably never get “done” - not too different from life itself.
Setting goals and having visions helps us get things done - and leads to great satisfaction in the end (and sometimes even more during the process). Our best tip is to let go of any conventions and trends - and think about what you really like and what/who the room is for. And remember - if something doesn’t feel right, you can always change it!
Our surroundings greatly impact the way we feel & think, so creating an inspiring environment for yourself is (according to us) never a waste of time. Let it take time and try, try & try! You’ll never know if a picture is hung in the “right” spot until you actually try it out. Also, try to get out of your head a bit and just have fun with it, sometimes the unexpected things are the best - and if we use our brains too much instead of our gut - we might miss out on those great surprises.
