If you’re looking for a perfect rug, this is not it. However if you’re looking for a wonderful perfectly imperfect handmade unique one of a kind rug, this is it! Let us explain: our wool rugs are hand knotted using traditional techniques in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco. It’s a handicraft that’s been around for a very long time which we are so grateful is still in action. We love the fact that the rugs are not exactly symmetrical, that there’s the occasional “wrong” colored thread in them - in other words we love that you can tell that they are made by hand, that it shows. So if you’re looking for an exactly symmetrical square that you can pop into your washing machine every other day (nothing wrong with that!) you’ll have to look elsewhere☺️ It might not be A perfect rug, but to us, it’s THE perfect rug.

This rug is a Beni Mrirt, extra dense, woven with very soft wool.

Designed by us and hand knotted with wool in Morocco. Please note that the rug can have some small imperfections due to its handmade nature, which also makes it unique. Please also note that the colors look slightly different on a screen compared to real life, and that the colors can fade if the rug is placed in very strong sunlight. Since the rug is made of wool, it’s natural that it will shed some excess wool during the first year, this will get better as time goes. It’s a unique piece - meaning only one in stock of each design.
